About
the product
Shuttering Plywoods are waterproof plywood that are manufactured by running a smooth coat of imported film-face sheets on either side of the hardwood timber. The film face coating makes the plywood reusable. The veneers of this high density plywood are bound together using a specially formulated resin which acts as the glue.
Film faced Shuttering plywood is known for its waterproofing quality. However, this one is slightly cheaper. Some manufacturers use film face coating to make the plywood reusable. The specially formulated resin acts as the glue and veneers of high-density bounds together with the plywood. Film faced shuttering plywood is ideal for construction and cement form works. This type of plies is durable and has a high load-bearing capacity. Film faced shuttering plywood is consistently used in building factories, sewers, warehouses, bridges, and other foundation works. Shuttering plies are also useful in raising ceilings, constructing walls, beams and pillars. Film faced shuttering plies can be used as many as 50 times depending on their density and usage.
There is a large number of film face shuttering manufacturers right now in India. There is competition in the field to check who produces the best in the market. Ultimately that is determined by the customers.
Is the film faced shuttering plywood waterproof?
Film faced shuttering plywood is waterproof and comparatively strong. Shuttering plies are harder to decorate as they tend to be somewhat absorbent at first.
Plywood for indoor use generally uses the less expensive urea-formaldehyde glue, which has limited water resistance, while outdoor and marine-grade plywood are designed to withstand moisture and use a water-resistant phenol-formaldehyde glue to prevent delamination and to retain strength in high humidity.
It is ideal for construction and cement form works as it is durable and has a high load bearing capacity. It can be used for building factories, sewers, warehouses, bridges and other foundation works. Shuttering plies are also used to raise ceilings, construct walls, beams, pillars etc.
